Our Studio is in a large bright function room at the Goat and Tricycle (previously the Pembroke Arms) which was once the training gym of Freddie Mills, the world champion boxer.  He was born in Bournemouth and went to St Michael's School  just across the road from the pub.  His first job was as an apprentice at a dairy round the corner (and long gone). He trained as a boxer in what is now our studio and fought his first fifty fights in or from Bournemouth before leaving for fame and infamy in London.  Mills relied on raw two-fisted aggression to carry him through; his gym is now a tranquil and creative art studio. Paint is the only thing put on the canvas now, not blood sweat and tears although some of the artists disagree!
